INTERNATIONAL PROJECT INTERREG HABI Kick-off meeting in Conversano

The kick-off meeting for the HABI project (Awareness raising, training, and scientific research activities on species and Habitat of Community interest) is scheduled to take place in Conversano on October 19th, 2023.

The HABI project aims to enhance the environmental and cultural aspects of the cross-border area, particularly focusing on NATURA 2000 areas. The project seeks to strike a balance between human and natural environments through strategies, workshops, and awareness campaigns. Various stakeholders will actively participate in foreseen activities, including the public, youth, SMEs, and local authorities. The project's objectives encompass biodiversity conservation, education, research, and sustainable tourism, ultimately improving local quality of life.

The international project "Interreg HABI" is a project worth  226.602,60 euros that started on August 1, 2023 and will last until 31. of December 2024. The project is co-financed by the European Union in the amount of 80%, the leading partner is Commune di Conversano, with project partners – Commune di Mola di Bari, Dubrovnik Development Agency DURA and Public Institution Rezervat Lokrum.
